224 Vaccine caused Brain Damage reports 2018 - 2019

BEFORE      ...... AND AFTER A VACCINE

Searching the CDC's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is not exactly simple for the average person, so I am posting the results for a few searches I have done here on this blog.
The first search I did was for all the brain damage related reports from Feb 2018 - Feb 2019.

There were 224 reports of Vaccines causing Brain injuries. One very interesting report was posted by a physician - so I have highlighted it and placed it at the top...

"MENTAL IMPAIRMENT"    "10027374"    "787807-1"    "787807-1"    "I am a physician with many years of experience, former medical school professor, and widely published biological scientist. I have never had an adverse reaction to any drug or vaccine before SHINGRIX and am in good health. My adverse effects from this vaccine were extremely severe! Two days after receiving it I developed severe flu-like symptoms including bronchitis with wheezing. Within the next few days I developed a viral encephalitis that seriously impaired by ability to think (especially creatively), to move quickly, or to carry out most of my normal functions. I felt like I had aged about 25 years in a few days. This lasted for about two weeks and was deeply frightening. Another side effect was an almost complete loss of sexual function. These symptoms were treated with valacyclovir at full therapeutic doses for several weeks, and gradually decreased. I am not sure that even now 2 months later I have been restored to full health. I have discussed my symptoms with several other people, including other physicians, who have received this vaccine and some of them reported similar hard-to-describe but clear cut impairments of mental function. I BELIEVE THIS VACCINE IS DANGEROUS AND IT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET UNTIL A DETAILED REASSESSMENT OF ITS ADVERSE EFFECTS IS COMPLETED. I have no economic or other hidden interest in making the above statement, but I am convinced on the basis of about 50 years of experience in medicine and medical research that this live modified virus is a threat to public health and that its advantages, if any, over the prior shingles vaccine in shingles prevention are more than outweighed by its obvious frequent and in some cases VERY severe adverse reactions. I hope you will pay careful attention to this communication."

"BICKERSTAFF'S ENCEPHALITIS"    "10076985"    "778086-1"    "778086-1"    "2 1/2 weeks after vaccine, and in the context of cold symptoms, developed progressive drowsiness and hypotonia. Initially treated with IVIG for presumptive Guillain-Barre Syndrome. No improvement. Then the working diagnosis became botulism-however, the cultures were negative. Current working diagnosis is Bickerstaff encephalitis. He did have antecedent viral symptoms, so the link to his 4 months vaccines is not solid."
"BRAIN DEATH"    "10049054"    "800352-1"    "800352-1"    ""Over the next 4 days, showed a lack of smiling/laughing/playing, markedly increased sleep, began making bubbles. Slightly improving on 5th to 6th day, but still longer sleep patterns. On day 6, made ""cooing"" noise while being burped, then became unresponsive. Transported to the hospital and brain death pronounced the next day. Cause of death unknown.""

Very sore neck and shoulder muscles. Neck and shoulders feels very painful, stiff and swollen. Pain unrelieved by TYLENOL or FLEXERIL. Unable to sleep due to pain. 7/18/18- pain continues to neck and shoulder area. PCP notified, requested I take BENADRYL and if no improvement go to E.R. Took BENADRYL with no improvement. Went to E.R. around 9pm. EKG sinus tachycardia. B.P 187/110. IV started. IV TYLENOL given. Diazepam 5mg given to me by mouth for muscle swelling/spasm. Doctor ran labs and took xrays. Mentions that my left shoulder muscle is very swollen. WBC count normal, decides not to do spinal tap. E.R. doc gives me the option to stay overnight in hospital for observation or go home. He sends me home with a prescription of valium for muscle spasm. Still leave the E.R. in pain and discomfort. 7/20/18- Woke up in am with continued pain to neck and shoulder. Feels ache and stiff especially when I move or turn my head. Throat now very dry. Coughing up very thick yellow mucous and now voice is very hoarse. On 13th May 2018, the patient received the 1st dose of SHINGRIX. On 26th June 2018, 44 days after receiving SHINGRIX, the patient experienced brain neoplasm (serious criteria GSK medically significant). On an unknown date, the patient experienced influenza-like symptoms, nausea and injection site pain. The patient was treated with non-drug therapy (Radiation) and chemotherapy, nos (Chemotherapy). On an unknown date, the outcome of the brain neoplasm was unknown and the outcome of the influenza-like symptoms, nausea and injection site pain were recovered/resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the brain neoplasm, influenza-like symptoms, nausea and injection site pain to be related to SHINGRIX. Additional information received as follows: The case was reported by the patient's husband. The patient was diagnosed with a brain tumor. As treatment, the patient had a resection of the brain tumor. The patient had flu-like symptoms, nausea and some pain at the injection site. The symptoms were lasted about 3 days. The reporter stated he did not believe the tumor was related to SHINGRIX. As per initial report the patient received the vaccine on 12th may 2018 however during follow up the vaccination date was reported as 13th May 2018."

Parents called our office and were advised to go to the ER. They went to ER where they suspected an ear infection and labyrinthitis. They treated her with amoxicillin and sent her home. They followed up with me 11/29/18, where she was observed in the waiting room to have upper extremity tremors, and poor eye contact. She would not walk during clinic visit and was sent back to ER. They did a head CT and MRI. The attending physician suspects she had brain swelling when her symptoms started, but the swelling may have resolved spontaneously by the time the imaging studies were done."
"BRAIN OPERATION"    "10061732"    "755342-1"    "755342-1"    "This case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of aura in a 57-year-old female patient who received BOOSTRIX for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included LAMICTAL unknown for epilepsy. Concurrent medical conditions included epilepsy. Concomitant products included CLARITIN, IMODIUM and ZOCOR. On 25th May 2018, the patient received BOOSTRIX .5 ml. On an unknown date, the patient started LAMICTAL (oral) 500 mg once daily (500 mg daily). On 25th May 2018, 9 hrs after receiving BOOSTRIX and unknown after starting LAMICTAL, the patient experienced aura. LAMICTAL was continued with no change. On an unknown date, the outcome of the aura was recovered/resolved. The reporter considered the aura to be almost certainly related to BOOSTRIX and LAMICTAL. Additional information was received as follows: The patient had surgery to had piece of brain removed for epilepsy treatment. The patient was using multivitamin and PROTONIX as concomitant product. The patient stated that she had a history of epilepsy and states that she had not any seizure activity in 34 years. Nine hours after receiving the vaccine, the patient stated that she had aura and she had it again about 2 hours after first experience. The patient panicked because she usually gets aura prior to having a seizure. The patient did not experienced, however, had a seizure, but rather it was a chemical reaction. The patient had the product information (PI) and stated that read the ingredients, but asks if thiomersal was one of the ingredients in BOOSTRIX. The patient stated that thiomersal was known to cause seizures. The patient informed that she could not find any mention of thiomersal in the PI but suggested that she had her health care professional (HCP) call our medical information department. The call center representative mentioned that the patient uses LAMICTAL as preventative treatment for her epilepsy so it was listed as a suspect product. The patient did not feel that the LAMICTAL was what caused her symptoms. The patient's primary care physician was aware of her symptoms."

His reaction started at night and we did not react initially, assuming he was in bed with the same problems I suffered. However, in the morning, when he had debilitating balance issues, and could not even crawl to the bathroom, it became clear that this problem required medical attention. We went to the doctor and they discovered an arrhythmia and sent us to the emergency room where he was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter and admitted to the hospital. After 2 days in the hospital and a battery of tests he was diagnosed with a cerebellar stroke. My husband is now home, with a walker and Meclizine and a medication to thin his blood, and has started on his journey toward recovery that will include trips to his doctor, a cardiologist, a neurologist and physical therapy. I am sure that you can see why I thought this was worth reporting. We are praying for his health and strength to return to normal."

Despite info being provided on the intake form regarding the bite, the bat was let go by the local Wildlife Center. It should have been killed and tested for rabies. Because of the condition of the bat was unknown, I had to undergo rabies vaccination (using RABAVERT), which is supposed be a series of the initial rig plus 5 doses, which were administered by the ER at Hospital. The ER failed to read the manufacturers instructions, not once but on 3 subsequent inoculations all of which were administered by different medical staff. In one instance a shot was incorrectly placed in my gluteal muscle which is one of the main areas where you should NOT get the vaccine since there is too much fatty tissue and it can result in the vaccine being rendered ineffective. As a result, I had to start the series over again, and again, there were protocol errors. I have become extremely ill, with fever and chills, blurred vision, slurred speech, burning pain at the injection sites, nausea, narcolepsy, colitis, forgetfulness, and frequent falling due to muscle weakness and dizziness. An infectious disease specialist was called in as well as the CDC and they all decided I just needed more shots, which enhanced my adverse reaction to the vaccine. To date I have been given 15 shots, 2 of which were the initial introduction of weakened rabies virus into my system. My body has no easy way to get rid of the excess vaccine and I have been told I have been overdosed. I have no idea if antibodies have been forming as expected or not because the protocol was not followed. Neither the hospital, the Dept. of Health, nor the CDC have any idea if the shots were effective and no one can guarantee I do not have an active rabies strain in my body, likely due to their incompetence. A titer to test for antibodies should have been done at 14 days, and it was only done this week, almost a month later. I am more sick than I have ever been in my life, I cannot shake this, I have been sleeping most of the time for the past 3 weeks. I have lost 22 lbs. I have no strength and my muscle tone is suffering. In addition, during one visit to the ER, I went hypoxic with my O2 at 80. I called the vaccine manufacturer, Novartis, and they have no idea how to deal with this. There is no protocol to deal with an overdose of this vaccine. Their comment ""we just make it, we don't administer it"". The CDC advised that if I was not deathly ill and hospitalized they wouldn't get involved. There has been confirmed rabies in bats within a 50 mile radius of my home. Do I have rabies? Will I develop rabies at some time in the future? No one seems to know, and none of the medical professionals who treated me seemed to have any idea what they were doing.""

I took my daughter to the ER at 6:30 PM for meds to relieve the headache, they did not work and I had her at a different ER on 9/29/18 at 2:30 AM for the pain. This ER sent her to a pediatric hospital to be admitted. She stayed the night in Hospital and received meds via IV to get relief from the pain. She was back in the ER on 10/10/18 due to yet another migraine that this time involved hand tingling and mouth tingling. She once again received an IV and fluids and medication. She was released the same day and we followed up with a neurologist on 10/11/18 where she has been put on a daily medication to try to limit the amount of headaches that she gets. She now has headaches daily and lives in fear of a bad one that will possibly land her back in the hospital. Prior to getting the GARDASIL vaccine my daughter was healthy and did not have migraines. Before this vaccine she rarely even got a headache at all, much less one that we couldn't get rid of!!!"

Pharmacist told her based on the  database, she was also eligible to get her PREVNAR 23 booster, so she agreed; they were both administered in the same arm. She could not remember when she got the previous PNEUMOVAX, but it had been awhile. She has a tendency for vagus reactions to pain (passing out), but did fine with the vaccines at the time of injection. However overnight she had some significant reaction: pain, warmth and swelling in her arm and lapse of consciousness. We scheduled an urgent care appt the next day and she ended up in the ER after she passed out several times during the exam. On Weds. 10/10/18, she had a follow-up with her regular physician, who looked on the website/registry and determined that she had already had the PREVNAR 13 in 2016, the PREVNAR 23 booster in 12/17, and had now gotten a third dose of vaccine and was suffering from a significant arthus response. Not life-threatening, but certainly dangerous for a woman with no threshold for pain. This may have been an oversight by the Pharmacist who didn't know how to check the registry correctly, or it may have been intentional because these retail pharmacies appear to be incentivized to administer as many vaccines as they can. She will no longer receive vaccines outside of her physician's office. I've been advised that I can file a complaint with Agency regarding my concern about financial gain."

Accompanied with the same metallic taste in my mouth that I feel as burning pain especially where I have severed and exposed tongue nerves in my inner gumline through to my tongue. The degree of pain, discomfort, anger, and paranoia it brings with it is almost completely unbearable. Occasionally I will have small seizures at the worst point. If I did not grow up in abuse. I do not think I could have survived the anger, paranoia, and emotional stress of feeling like your dying. I have to use to much ibuprofen. I think I would have died without it a few times. Symptoms were still there and 22nd and 23rd and started to worsen around noon on the 24th. Legs ached very bad and felt as if I was hallucinating again. Tried to finish some last minute Christmas shopping but had a hard time driving, was also very hard to focus or think about anything. I went into a store for about 5 minutes and felt as if I was going to pass out while I was checking out, along with intense sweating and what I would describe as hot flashes. Tried to rest for the next few hours into the evening, but even though I was exhausted I could not sleep. As the night went on the symptoms peaked. Around 1AM on the 25th I found myself shaking, sweating, and my legs gave out two times as I tried to stand up. My face was pale and my head was so cloudy and could not think straight. I tried splashing some water on my face and to focus, and almost decided to go to the ER. At this point it felt as if I was drugged, but the feeling that was in my head is so difficult to describe. I finally fell asleep around 3am and when I awoke around 10AM the symptoms were weak and by the end of the night I felt OK again. Still don't feel 100% right though as of today 12/28."

She was notably flushed, tachypneic, satting 88% on room air, lungs clear, tachycardic with regular rhythm. I requested my attending physician Dr. to assist me with management at this point. She stated she had to go to the bathroom, as she was having acute-onset diarrhea. She was helped to the restroom by MA and had profuse diarrhea, she subsequently felt too weak to get off the toilet, and was then assisted to the floor. While patient was helped to the bathroom, EMS was called for concerns for anaphylactic shock. Dr. and Dr. accompanied the patient in the bathroom. Vitals were re-obtained which showed BP 70/40s with weak distal extremity pulses. Two rounds of epinephrine injection 0.3mg given at 11:31 am on R) thigh, another dose of Epinephrine given at 11:36am on L) thigh administered by Dr. epinephrine Lot No. 7FM427; Exp Jan 2019. Benadryl PO 50 mg x1 was also given, and O2 4L NC was started. EMS arrived, and she was still alert and able to answer questions, though with slowed mentation and complaining of diffuse abdominal pain. Given concern for anaphylactic shock, she was emergently transported to the ED by paramedics. At Hospital ED, she received a dose of 10 mg dexamethasone IV and famotidine 40 mg IV, though vital signs were stable upon arrival. She was prescribed an epipen at the time of discharge from the ED. She was diagnosed with anaphylaxis and discharged home in stable condition. She returned to our clinic 12/31/18 for follow-up, and was notably in stable condition. She was referred to an allergist for formal testing, though it is presumed her anaphylaxis was likely secondary to either the PNEUMOVAX vaccine (which she received first) or the flu vaccine (which she received second). I suspect the reaction was more likely secondary to the PNEUMOVAX vaccine, as her symptoms of feeling short of breath started just prior to her receiving the flu vaccine, and she has received the flu vaccine 4 years ago with no adverse effects."

By morning it was in my breast and by November 22nd it traveled up to the left side of face with numbness. I could not think or talk my brain wouldn't work. Everything was spinning and the acute pain and the pins and needles covered my entire body but worse on the left side due to the pinched nerves. I went to the Emergency Room. My muscles and tissues throughout my body had cramps and shooting pains and my body wouldn't and couldn't move because the tissues felt inflamed and pulsing and throbbing with electrical pains. I felt like I was burning up but didn't have a fever. I couldn't tell the difference between hot or cold. I'd try to move and my body was stuck even my fingers and wrists and I was so thirsty. Later that evening, approx 4 hours later, my daughter was having what I would now consider being neurological issues, flailing of the arms and legs and twitching. I kept an eye on her and it seemed to calm down some. I was informed that the emergency room doesn't really do much for infants so I did not take her to the hospital. Saturday, June 2, 2018, around 10 am both my girls were running ridiculously high fevers, I called their Pediatrician and informed her about what was happening to them. and she made the comment that they had been switching around the vaccinations because they were causing infants to have high fevers.  She informed me to give them Tylenol. I did and the fevers did go down. Around 2 am Sunday, June 3, 2018, I rechecked their temperature for the 3rd or 4th time and I was happy to see they both had low-grade fevers of 99.2 and 99.1, Patient's being 99.2. I Fed both girls again around 5:30 a.m. they went back to sleep. I went back into their room to check on them because they were being fussy so i put them on their bellies and that seemed to calm them down and they went back to sleep. I awoke around 7:30 a.m. to my baby dead in her crib. She was still on her stomach, I believe she was face down but cannot remember 100%. When I flipped her over she had blood coming out of her nose and she was dead. She was still warm as if she were sleeping, her sister is just fine. We attempted CPR while waiting on the ambulance. She was rushed to the emergency room where they were unable to revive her. I cannot accept that it was caused by anything other than those vaccinations.  We are currently waiting for the Autopsy Report to come back. We had her sister checked out by their Pediatrician the same day and she is just fine."

He has been feeling great for 2-3 days after his last cold, so Dr. decided he is well enough to be vaccinated. Maybe this was a poor decision in retrospect, in parents' opinion. 12/15: Patient started feeling lethargic, complained of fatigue, congestion returned again, with minor throat pain. 12/16: Patient woke up tired in the morning, refused his milk and breakfast. He laid on the couch for 4 hours and refused his lunch, saying he is tired and not hungry. He had very mild fever (100 or so). I (dad) took him to urgent care where he was tested for flu (negative) and strep (positive). Discharged with Amoxicillin and 150ml of MOTRIN. Felt better that afternoon, ate 2 full meals, went to bed around 8pm, slept a full night. 12/17: Loss of speech and mobility. Patient woke up super lethargic and tired. When I tried talking to him, his speech was slurred, and his steps were wobbly. Rushed him to ER where they ran a slew of tests on him (blood, strep, CT, Spinal Tap, see below). Spinal tap came back with elevated white blood cells, no initial indication of bacterial growth. Patient's neurological condition was deteriorating quickly (unable to speak or walk properly). By 1-2pm he was transferred to hospital, main floor. By 4pm, he was conscious but not responding to stimuli or cues, including me calling his name. He was transferred to the ICU unit for neurological assessment and monitoring. By end of that day, patient was semi conscious. The diagnosis was Encephalitis, but still no infective agent found. Temp that night about 103F. 12/18: Patient woke up showing more conscious signs but still pretty bad mobility, jittery limbs, jittery head and neck, not talking and not making any sounds.  Cognitively he was not very responsive except to me (dad) and his mom. HHV-6 positive in his CSF but negative in blood, Drs ruled out HHV-6 as potential infection. MRI performed with sedation and contrast at 5pm, results shows hyperintensities suggestive of brain inflammation in brain stem, deep gray matter, basal ganglia. Patient has another dip in mental state, showing little response, not nodding or responding to parents. Fever that day was mild (less than 101 F). Everyone is very concerned about deteriorating state. 12/19 to 12/20: All antibiotic and antiviral drugs are stopped, further blood tests showed no evidence of any active viral or bacterial infection. We ask for patient to be placed on NG tube for nutrition. Patient starts improving slightly cognitively on 12/20, starts playing some games but only for 5-10 mins. Very lethargic still, unable to stand on legs (tested by PT). PICU staff become less concerned about seizure risk. Patient is moved out of PICU to main floor at end of 12/20. Still, patient has not spoken a word, and is unable to sit himself up, walk nor stand, and is in diapers. Medical staff expecting a very slow recovery lasting months, and thus started referral process to rehab. Temps less than 99F. 12/21 to 12/22: More or less same state as on 12/20. Patient is very irritated, although smiles and interacts more with books and games. Started showing more and more signs of cognition. Patient says one word on 12/21 at night (yes, twice, as response to question). On 12/21, Drs and specialists recommend we try IVIG treatment, which starts on 6pm on 12/22. Drs say that IVIG takes about 3-4 days to show any effect, still predicted that patient would need long term rehab. IVIG administered for 2 days. 12/23: Patient wakes up, starts vocalizing some numbers when playing cards with dad. He later walked assisted with me from bed to bathroom door. Improved cognitive response. By end of day, patient was very cognitively aware. 12/24 and 12/25: An avalanche of recovery: Patient recovered 50 to 60% of his speech, is walking minimally assisted to unassisted on 12/25. Patient ran 10 yards on 12/25.  Still tired and fatigued but with improved cognitive response. Started eating purTes and soups.  IV removed. Drs calling his recovery 'crazy.' 12/26: Another spike of spontaneous improvement:  Patient is walking unassisted, running around hospital. NG tube removed. Patient discharged, does not qualify for in-patient rehab. Official diagnosis is Meningoencephalitis although no infections were found, neurologist thinks this is a post-infective process but, cannot be 100% sure.  Neurologist recommended an autoimmune serum test (results negative on 1/2/2019). Patient home with follow-up appointments with neurologist and outpatient rehab in a week. 12/28: Patient's speech is almost back to normal. Walking is very stable, but loses balance every now and then, so he is closely monitored at home. He is very irritable compared to before. He is suffering from sensitivity to light and noise. Cries much more than before. Still not sure if this is chronic or not. Hopefully this goes away with time. Week of 1/1/2019: Patient is back to about 100% his energy, functional and cognitive abilities. Remaining minor sensitivity to noise, light, and irritability, are slowly improving with time. Infectious disease specialist, neurologist as well as patient's PCP recommended we report this incident to VAERS."

"NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING BRAIN"    "10029817"    "766942-1"    "766942-1"    ""I was bitten by a bat on July 21, 2018. I was able to capture it and took it to the local Wildlife Center where a form was filled out regarding the animal.

This morning at 7:30am (2/23) he woke up from sleep and was crying, had a small mucous vomit, then had a 15min seizure (bruxism and teeth chattering, eye deviation up and right, whole body shivering/shaking, minimally responsive). Otherwise he was recently well, fully vaccinated, no sick contacts, no fevers. No toxin exposures. Had vaccines a few weeks ago, had an elevated lead level of 9 planned to follow with the PCP. No recent traumas. He recently spent the last 5 months away from home and returned a few weeks ago. No FH of seizures or neurologic conditions. The family called EMS, per report the shaking seemed to have subsided by EMS arrival however patient was post-ictal. He was transported to hospital. There he had stable VS, irritable. He had a non-con CT that was reportedly normal. Labs with WBC 18, otherwise CBC normal, BMP normal, LFTs normal, no blood culture. Received 20cc/kg of NS. He was transferred to another hospital for ongoing care. In the ED, he was slightly post-ictal and not encephalopathy, responsive, apprehensive with caregivers, nonfocal neuro exam except for mild ataxia (vs peripheral IV in foot). He was tolerating PO. Abdominal US in ED was also negative. He also had a spot EEG which showed some possible L temporal slowing, non-epileptogenic. He was admitted to the floor for monitoring for unprovoked seizure. On the floor this afternoon, he has been slightly ""sleepy"" but interactive and arousable with a non-focal exam. Around 5:30pm today, he had a 15 min seizure (R eye deviation, unresponsive, intermittent whining sounds, bruxism, shaking, lip tremulousness). He had emesis with desat to 87% placed on the non-rebreather. Treated with 0.1mg/kg ativan with resolution of the seizures. Afterwards was post-ictal with some upper extremity posturing and overall rigidity and hypertonicity. He gradually recovered. By 6:30pm had R gaze preference but minimal residual rigidity. He had a full brain MRI which showed multiple areas of T2 hyperintense signal encephalitis/meningitis. He was admitted to PICU for monitoring and ongoing care, LP, acyclovir, antibiotics, and workup as per plan. His infectious studies including HSV PCR have been negative to date.

We immediately called a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and upon reviewing her, requested an emergency MRI at hospital. The thought of our baby going under anesthesia was so terrifying. To see our little baby in the recovery room with an oxygen mask over her face completely passed out because of the anesthesia was a sight no parent EVER wants to see. How could this have happened to our baby? She was perfectly fine on Sunday. We started to put the pieces together and the only conclusion was this could have been a direct cause of her recent MMR vaccine she had last Wednesday. I did notice her acting fussy Saturday, she had serious diarrhea and thought she was catching a cold or possibly teething. Thanks to GOD the MRI results came back normal Thursday. They did see some sinus congestion, but no major mass or tumors. Her ophthalmologist and pediatrician are both saying it?s now a waiting game, this is completely normal and her vision should go back to normal on her own. Worst case, she'll need glasses or surgery. As a mommy, this is NOT normal. When your baby?s eyes are getting worse, there's heavy green mucus in both eyes, you feel like you?re racing against time, you fight, you research, and you're on the phone to get seen by more doctors. This has given me a whole new hunger to know what's in the vaccinations that are given to our children. On 02/01, she started having episodes where her whole body would tense up, her mouth would turn downwards into a frown, her eyes would widen, and she would then seem to startle and let out a cry afterwards. Patient is a previously healthy 4 year old female who presented with intermittent migratory pain and difficulty with ambulation. Patient had her influenza vaccine on Feb 23. She at feeling well until Feb. 27 when she developed a fever and very minor rash on her trunk. This all resolved within the day. She was then well until March 3. Early in the day she went to her chiropractor where she had minor adjustments and massage. This was a normal routine for her. That evening she developed pain in there bilateral thighs, difficulty ambulating, and restlessness. This continued and on March 5 she was brought to ED for evaluation. She had a normal hip ultrasound and normal hip x-rays at that time. Laboratory records show unremarkable BMP, CRP <0.29, ESR 9, CPK 59, unremarkable CBC with WBC 12.4, Hgb 14.1, Plt 293, normal UA. She was discharged to home.·On March 6 she was evaluated at her PCP and was diagnosed with transient synovitis. Over the next few days her symptoms continued to persist. She started to refuse walking up stairs but would instead crawl. She continued to complain of pain primarily in her legs, but also in her arms and abdomen. She had difficulty ambulating, sitting upright, flexing her hips, or flexing her spine. She was brought back to her PCP on 3/9 and had a spinal XR which was insignificant other than stool burden. Her symptoms persisted through the day so she was brought to ED that evening for evaluation. Labs were repeated and unremarkable other than WBC 20.5 with ANC 11.6 and platelets 658. LDH was normal at 179, UA 4.7, CPK 49, BMP unremarkable, CRP <0.29, B Burgdorferi 0.03, ESR 5. She was admitted for observation. She received a fleet enema with minimal results. She had ~5 caps of MIRALAX over the next 2 days with some stool output. On 3/11 she had a normal pelvis MRI and a lumbar spine MRI with contract which was normal with the exception of ""lipoma on her filum terminale."" She was discharged home at that time. Since that discharge she had continued difficulty with gait. 3/12 she attempted bowel clean out with MIRALAX without significant result. She had intermittent cramping abdominal pain that time. She could not lie flat on her back due to the pain. She resisted straightening of her legs or flexion at her hips. She could not sit on the toilet due to the pain, so is wearing pull-ups. She was still fully continent. Family again contacted her PCP who suggested they bring her to clinic for another evaluation. Since February 27 patient was afebrile and without further rash. She was been eating well and had no change in weight. She did not complain of any vision changes. Mother gave her TYLENOL and ibuprofen at home for the pain without significant relief. Patient was able to walk into the ED. She later couldn't bear weight, but after TORADAL was able to ambulate with difficulty (unsteady). Labs were obtained which were significant for normal ESR, normal CRP, elevated WBC to 19.6, ANC of 10.5. She was transferred from the ED to the med/surg ward for continued observation and work up. On admission patient was found to have an elevated WBC with normal CK, CRP, and ESR. Rheumatology was consulted and felt her presentation was not consistent with a rheumatologic process. Neurology was also consulted and plan was made for LP, labs, nerve conduction study and MRI of her thigh and brain while under sedation. LP and nerve conduction studies were consistent with GBS with normal labs and imaging. Her IgA level was obtained and was normal. She received IVIG on 3/15 and again on 3/16. She received a dose of BENADRYL following her second IVIG dose after which she had flushing, increased hyperactivity and irritability, and her SpO2 went down to 80% and she was started on blow by O2. She was only on blow by for a few minutes and her flushing and irritability resolved within an hour. Improvement in her strength was noticed following her first dose of IVIG and she continued to improve throughout her admission. Her respiratory status was monitored closely during her admission with NIF. PT and OT worked with patient during her admission. She was discharged to rehab as she continued to slowly improve her neuromusc exam.""

My eyes would not focus, my gait was off, and I was slurring my words. On April 25, 2018 I went to the doctors and then the ER. At the ER I did a head MRI which came out clear. On April 26, 2018 I went to see a neurologist. When walking to the neurologist appointment I fell and I could not lift myself up. Two workers had to lift me up and put me in a wheelchair because my leg muscles were too weak to support me. The neurologist recommended that I check into the ER to do more blood tests and be observed. In the ER I had multiple blood tests done and did a spine MRI that was clear. My symptoms also got worse while in the ER. I could not walk without a walker, lift myself out of bed or off the toilet. I spent the night in the ER and was released the next day April 27, 2018. The doctors told me my symptoms were caused by stress and recommended that I see a psychiatrist and scheduled PT to come to my house. From April 27 to the middle of May I could not chew because my jaw muscles were not responding. I could not do basic motor functions like brush my hair because my arms did not respond properly. My leg muscles were still weak so I could not go upstairs or walk without a walker. I also needed to use a commode to be able to get off the toilet. I had PT appointments for 3 weeks once a week. The PT appointments focused on strengthening my muscles. From the end of May until June 19, 2018 my symptoms slowly got better. I got stronger and was able to walk without a walker, chew food, and do basic motor functions again."

General decline with A-fib alternating with extreme bradycardia, dangerously low blood pressure, 94 degree core body temperature, treatment for hypothermia, 4 day hospitalization. Pacemaker surgery shingles outbreak at same time. Patient condition one month later: All doctors consulted so far agreed that CT's/MRI's show no CVA, lesion, tumor, or other cause for sudden deafness. All suspect a virus, particularly shingles virus, caused damage since patient suffered serious outbreak in conjunction with this medical emergency, which also precipitated pacemaker surgery. I am 100% deaf in my left ear - permanently, irreversibly. It happened over 2 hours! Hearing has been replaced with constant, loud ringing and buzzing which makes hearing from other ear difficult. I have a constant headache as a result of this and of the vision distortion resulting from delayed vestibular-ocular reflex caused by this event as well. My balance is shaky; walking is affected, and I'm not allowed to drive at this point. In addition to this pain and inconvenience is the frustration of not being able to participate in favorite activities, such as reading, watching TV or movies, walking on beach, dancing, doing water aerobics despite daily vestibular rehabilitation exercises. Patient presented to the office on October 8, 2018. She reported sudden hearing loss, severe vertigo and difficulty with vision since having a recent herpes zoster vaccine. The comprehensive eye examination showed all structures of the eye to be normal and healthy. Extraocular muscles appear to track normally in all directions of gaze. The patient does have nuclear sclerotic cataracts, but this was not a reaction to the vaccine. It is my belief that the zoster vaccine could have caused patient's vestibular-ocular reflex difficulties - vertigo along with occasional double vision. Patient never showed any of these problems prior to the zoster vaccination."

About 5 min later, he passed out and his head hit the counter that was behind him. He remained passed out for about 10-15 seconds. Assistance was provided by myself (I am also a pharmacist) and our staff pharmacist. 911 was called as a small wound was present on his occipital region due to contacting the countertop on his way down, and to provide further medical evaluation. He was evaluated at the ED. All imaging was negative and the small laceration was repaired. The attending provider concluded that a vagal response to the injection was likely responsible for the post-vaccination syncopal event. This patient has received flu vaccines for the past 3 plus years without any reaction of this sort."

She was positive for adenovirus on evaluation and this was felt to be the most likely cause of her fever and seizure. She was released on 10/9. However, due to recent immunizations report seemed warranted."

In July 2018, the patient received the 1st dose of SHINGRIX. In August 2018, 28 days after receiving SHINGRIX, the patient experienced trigeminal neuralgia. On an unknown date, the outcome of the trigeminal neuralgia was unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the trigeminal neuralgia to be related to SHINGRIX. Additional details were provided as follows: The age at vaccination was not reported. The patient received the dose of the SHINGRIX vaccine in late July 2018 and then about 4 weeks later, developed trigeminal nerve pain. The patient's neurologist conducted a brain magnetic resonance imaging which showed no causes from the brain. The patient was wondering if the SHINGRIX vaccination could have been the cause. The patient needed to make a decision soon about getting the 2nd dose of the SHINGRIX vaccine so the patient asked if GlaxoSmithKline had any information regarding a possible cause and effect relationship between SHINGRIX and trigeminal nerve pain."

On 11/29/2018 patient does not follow any commands. Barely able to move all the extremities. Does not withdraw to pain. All cultures remain negative. Start spiking fever up to 103. MRI was ordered and later on reviewed. It showed no acute brain abnormalities. Weakness, obtunded state resp failure raising concern for GBS with elevated CSF protein. Diagnosis of GBS confirmed with lab and EMG - with severely prolonged F waves."

These pains worsened over the next day and I went to Urgent Care on September 2, 2018. I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and referred for follow-up in the neurology department. On September 6 I was examined by Dr. in the neurology department. Based on my symptoms, he diagnosed my condition as ""classic trigeminal neuralgia"" and referred my for an MRI to rule out a brain tumor. The MRI was normal. At the advice of my primary care doctor, I received the second dose on SHINGRIX in December 2018. As the symptoms are not severe (and are less server than the initial onset) I have not yet started the recommended medication. Although the timing of the onset of my condition (8 days after administration of the vaccine) could be coincidental, I strongly believe that it also may be a side effect of the SHINGRIX, as zoster herpes is nerve related.""

The patient had no pertinent medical history, concurrent conditions, concomitant and historical drugs, drug reactions or allergies. On 28-JUN-2018, the patient was vaccinated with GARDASIL 9, 0.5 ml, intramuscular, schedule reported as:0, 2 and 6 months (lot # and expiration date were not provided) for prevention of human papillomavirus (HPV). On 04-JUL-2018, the patient started experience muscular weakness and a lot of pain, which started in the patient's legs and spread later to the her arms (pain in extremity). It was also reported that, the patient could not walk without using a walker. Since on unknown dates in 2018, the patient had not been eating (eating disorder) and was experiencing shortness of breath (dyspnoea). Since then, the patient had been seeing multiple doctors and no one could find anything wrong. It was reported that the patient was given unspecified treatment for the adverse events. Additionally, the patient was admitted to the hospital in an unspecified date in July 2018 and stayed 2 days there. Subsequently, on 22-AUG-2018, the patient was again admitted to the hospital, and was there for a week. The cause of the hospitalization was not reported. On unknown dates, diagnostic test such as brain scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and unspecified blood work were performed, however results were not provided. The outcome of pain in extremity, muscular weakness, dyspnoea and eating disorder was reported as not recovered/not resolved. The outcome of the adverse event that lead the patient's hospitalization was not reported. The causality between the events and GARDASIL 9 was not reported. Upon internal review the event pain of extremities was considered to be serious as the patient could not walk without using a walker (disability)."
